DirectOutput is a Windows background service and software development kit (SDK) that enables games and simulation software to send real-time data, graphics, and lighting cues to compatible Logitech/Saitek hardware with built-in displays and LEDs—most notably the Pro Flight Instrument Panel (FIP) and select Pro Flight devices. It provides the runtime components end users need for their panels to function and a straightforward API developers can use to integrate hardware support into their applications.

• Communication layer for supported panels and auxiliary displays
• API to render text and bitmaps, manage pages, and update soft-key labels
• Control of backlighting/LEDs and handling of input from buttons, knobs, and soft keys
